Product Description
Uniden's BCT8 is a state-of-the-art Trunk Tracking Scanner with BearTracker technology, which will alert you when the highway patrol is within approximately a three-mile radius. It can store 250 frequencies such as police, fire/emergency, marine, railroad, air, amateur, and other communications into 5 banks of 50 channels for a total of 250 channels.
Trunk Tracking Scanner
Easily follow VHF High Band UHF 800MHz trunked public safety and public service systems just as if conventional two-way communications were used. Multi-track ability also enables you to track more than one trunking system at the same time, and to scan conventional/trunked systems at the same time.
250 User Programmable Memories
Quickly store interesting or important frequencies for rapid recall and quick scanning.
Frequency Coverage
The BCT8 covers the most interesting "action" bands, where you can hear police, ambulance, fire, amateur radio, public utilities, weather, and more (25-54, 108-174, 400-512, 806-956 excluding cellular).
BearTracker Warning System
The BearTracker system alerts you to activity on Highway Patrol link frequencies, to let you know if there is activity within about three miles of your location.
Preprogrammed Service Search and Highway Patrol Frequencies by State
This makes finding interesting active frequencies even easier, wherever you are.
Search Lockouts
Lock out frequencies that have continuous or uninteresting communications so that searching is faster.
Backlit Display
At the push of a button, our unique luminescent LCD screen is backlit so messages are easily read in low-light situations.
Priority Operation
Helps ensure that you don't miss important transmissions on the channel you designate as the priority channel.
